Screenplay writer Sachin Bhowmick is dead

Veteran screenwriter Sachin Bhowmick, who was part of the Hindi film industry for over five decades, passed away at his home here Tuesday. He was 82.

Veteran screenwriter Sachin Bhowmick, who was part of the Hindi film industry for over five decades, passed away at his home here Tuesday. He was 82.

"He had not been keeping well for a very long time and yesterday afternoon suffered a heart attack, which took his life," said a source.

Bhowmick started his career by writing the screenplay for Mohan Segal's Nargis starrer Lajwanti in 1958. He then went on to write for blockbuster films like An Evening In Paris, Love In Tokyo, Aradhna, Golmaal, Ziddi, Karz and also newer films like Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish among others.
