Shibani KashyapShibani Kashyap has come up with a new album, Free Spirit, which features a special song, Alvida, dedicated to the 26/11 victims and martyrs. Produced by ASA Productions and Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. (Vikram Bhatt) and directed by Pradipto Nandi, the song has been written, composed and sung by Shibani herself.

The song intends to remind people that while Mumbai has an impervious spirit, we as citizens need to come together and battle against these evils together.

For the video, Shibani has roped in TV stars like Sharad and Kirti Kelkar, Ashlesha Sawant, Mazhar, Mini Mathur, Hiten Paintal, Rahul Roy, Arya Babbar, Swetta Keswani and Alex O’Neil, Siddharth Kannan, Karan Grover, etc. Alvida will have three contexts in the song, says Shibani. First, to bid farewell to the victims, second to bid farewell to the policemen and commandos who fought until they could and third, to bid farewell to terrorism, communalism and corruption. The video is meant to show that we haven’t forgotten what has happened.
