Seems like Rajendra Prasad, who plays Quick Gun Murugun in a film by the same name, is in search of some publicity to promote his flick. The latest buzz around the film is that choreographer-director Farah Khan invited Prasad for the unveiling of her new show Tere Mere Beach Mein, on her recent visit to the Capital.
Shashank Ghosh, director of the film, explains, “There were some talks that Farah Khan wanted Quick Gun to be here in the Capital at the unveiling of her latest show, but somehow things couldn’t work out.” However, Khan pleads ignorance to the whole affair. “Why would I call him?” she questions.
That’s not all. Another rumour doing the rounds was that since actor Shah Rukh Khan had already played a similar role as Prasad’s in Om Shanti Om, the latter hated the comparison. On quizzing Prasad, he cleverly retorted, “I am not bothered that SRK has already played the role. In fact, I am happy that Shah Rukh Khan ji introduced the character to the people and gave us free publicity.” To this, Farah simply says, “If they are making comparisons with SRK, they must be wanting some publicity. He obviously can’t be compared to Shah Rukh.”
The makers of the film claim they have been working on the concept since many years. “We have been working on this film since the last 15 years and I am glad that it is finally releasing,” Ghosh says. The last film the director was involved with was Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II.
