Their enmity made headlines in the past, but legendary actors Shatrughan Sinha and Amitabh Bachchan seem to have buried their differences.
Popularly known as Shotgun for his fiery dialogue delivery, the actor-politician says their so called "differences" are a thing of past. "Minor problems happen between colleagues now and then but there is nothing personal between us. I respect him and I think Amitabh is very fond of me too," Sinha said.
The Bollywood contemporaries worked together in 70s films Dostana, Shaan, Naseeb and Kala Pathar and Sinha says he would love to act with Bachchan again. "I would love to work with Amitabh again but there should be a good script to justify our presence," he adds.
The friends-turned-foes apparently bonded again at Shabana Azmi’s birthday recently. Bachchan even congratulated Sonakshi, Sinha’s daughter, on her debut act in Dabangg. Their friendship had turned sour two years ago when Sinha took a snipe at the Bachchans by saying that certain award functions (IIFA) had become Bachchans’ family affair. Not to be left behind, Bachchan too posted a stinging remark against Sinha on his blog.
Sinha says he has also mended his friendship with Rekha. The Kalichar-an star, who does not remember what led to the differences, credits his wife Poonam for patching up their friendship."We had a fight and not many people know that we were not on talking terms while shooting Khoon Bhari Maang but you can’t detect it in our performance. I don’t remember what led to the argument but it was my wife who introduced me to Rekhaji in a party and things became normal again," he says. He is now working with the Bollywood diva in Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai after a gap of almost 30 years.
In the film, Sinha plays a business tycoon who is planning to marry a young girl but things take another turn when he is introduced to her housekeeper, played by Rekha.
