Rumours were rife that actor Vivek Oberoi was snubbed by filmmakers Ekta Kapoor and Sanjay Gupta at singer Mika’s birthday bash recently. However, Oberoi calls these reports “rubbish”.

He says, “I am shooting in Jaipur for Sher. Mika is an old buddy and asked me to come for the party, so I flew down and was there for a short while and Ekta wasn’t even there till then.” He adds, “I met Sanjay (Gupta) when I was leaving the party and we both greeted each other.”

Oberoi had reportedly fallen out with Kapoor and Gupta after they offered him Shootout at Wadala but he didn’t get back to them with an answer. The 38-year-old actor says he’s not a big fan of Bollywood parties.

“Bollywood parties are all about networking. No matter how you try to keep it, it ends up being about work and people talk work,” he rues. Oberoi was recently asked at an event if his film Sher was bigger than Tiger, in reference to the title of Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger.

He responded by saying, “In my knowledge, I think Sher is bigger than Tiger.” When asked if his comment was a dig at Khan, Oberoi says, “There is so much to look forward to that I have stopped talking. It’s over.”

The actor, who’s been shooting for Sher for some time now, says he misses his wife Priyanka during outdoor shoots. “I miss my wife. She travels in and out but the house also demands time from the lady and I didn’t want her to be here during this heat,” he says, adding, “Priyanka is not a die-hard romantic. She is a story book princess who likes to be romanced. So, I do little things for her like surprising her or leaving a note on the bathroom mirror,” he says.
