Model-turned-actress Sonal Chauhan tasted success in the Emraan Hashmi-starrer Jannat in 2008. Now, the 26-year-old is getting ready to be seen once more on the big screen. Chauhan is busy wrapping up shooting for her next film, that also marks the directorial debut of artist MF Husain’s son Owais Husain.
“Shooting is almost complete for the film . The name is yet to be decided,” said the actress, who was in the Capital on Friday to model for designer Charu Parashar at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. Chauhan sashayed down the ramp in a white Egyptian-style dress.
The actress, who has won several beauty contests in the past, says she was initially nervous on the ramp, but seemed relaxed after the show.
“My biggest fear while walking the ramp is of tripping over and falling. I have done modelling before but I was still nervous while walking. I am relaxed now,” she said after the show.
Chauhan added that Bollywood has a lot to contribute to fashion and celebrities walking the ramp benefits the designers greatly.
“In our country, Bollywood and cricket sell the most, so more celebs walking for designers is great, but they should also do justice to the outfit,” she said.
