Inside her space
I have been living in this three bedroom flat since 2005 with my mom and dad. It’s in Oshiwara, which is close to the film industry hub. It’s a residential area, but at the same time everything is in the vicinity.
The entire credit for buying this house goes to my mother. I was shooting and my dad would accompany me, so my mom had taken the charge of finding a house. She looked for a flat at many places but the moment we saw this house, we knew this was the one.
The best thing about my house is the height of the ceiling. It is 14 feet high. This gives a very grand look to the house.
We have done the interior designing ourselves. My dad likes glass and teakwood. He finds them very elegant. So you will find a lot of that in my house.
We all have made inputs in doing up our home. Off-white is my dad’s favourite colour. My earlier house too was in off-white. This time, I made sure to use my favourite colours, peach and yellow, too.
Whenever I go out of town, I always end up bringing some or the other stuff for home. When I went to Dubai, I picked a rug, and also got precious rock from Malaysia.
I spend a lot of time in the lobby and my bedroom. I am very clumsy when it comes to breaking and dropping stuff. I do arrange my cupboard but I have to be reminded time and again before I do so.
