Everyone is talking about Sridevi’s comeback. Speculation has been rife that the actress, who is back in shape after endless yoga sessions, may soon make a comeback to the silver screen in a sequel to Mr India.
However, husband Boney Kapoor says that the actress will take her own sweet time. “It will happen, but not now. She is awaiting a good script.” Ask him if their elder daughter Jhanavi will be making her debut opposite actor Nagarjuna’s son, as rumoured, and he says, “No way. She is too young.
Talking about his latest offering, Wanted, Kapoor takes out tome to clear the air on some controversies. Buzz was that actor Salman Khan had planned a trip to US to promote the film, but after Shah Rukh Khan’s airport detention incident, he chose to cancel his trip. Kapoor clarifies, “Yes, there was such trip planned, but as the permission to hold the event was taking too long to come through, we had to cancel the trip.”
The film also got into legal hassles. The director of GG Photo Limited, Sushil Gupta, has filed a case against Kapoor and Sridevi for not paying their dues. Kapoor explains, “There are many such cases [in the courts]. This case has been there since the last four years and it’s obvious that when any of my films is about to release, such a thing is done because
people hope to garner publicity through it.”
