Highlight Story

This was one fest that nobody would have wanted to miss, especially the boys. The annual fest of Miranda House College - Tempest 2011, had everything from dancing to dramatics, adventure games, rock concert and more for students.

This festival was also the first ever ‘Green College Festival’, in Delhi University as the carbon footprint of the festival was accounted.

Colleges across the city participated in various competitions held at the fest. The three-day event kicked off with a street play competition, a part of Drishya, the dramatics society of the college. Adding an element of difference, was the documentary film competition, where the students showcased their work, followed by a discussion with the judges on the topic touched upon.

The street dance, the Delhi Dance Fever choreography, western dance, street play and debate competition amongst others, saw huge participation and great performances that left everybody asking for more. But what got everyone to jump and cheer was a performance by the rock band Barefaced Liar. Loud music and hooting surely took over the mood at the fest.
