Singer Claire Richards of Steps fame has lost a massive 32 kg and is releasing a keep fit DVD in celebration. The singer piled on the pounds when the pop group split and she stopped dancing. The birth of her son Charlie in May 2007 added to her weight woes and she wound up weighing 95 kg, reports contactmusic.com.
She said: "After leaving Steps, the regular dance routines and constantly being on the go came to an end and I started to gain weight."
After seeing pictures of herself in newspapers earlier this year, Claire, 31, decided to tackle the problem and embarked on a keep-fit routine.
With the help of a personal trainer, she has now lost 32 kg and is releasing a DVD called "5 Step Fat Attack", which features aerobic routines set to Steps tracks, including Tragedy, 5, 6, 7, 8 and Deeper Shade Of Blue.
Claire now says she is feeling "fit and in shape" and wants to share how she managed it.
The singer is also working on a new solo album and married her second husband, the father of her son, Reece Hill last month.
