Indian actor Hrithik Roshan talks in a hotel lobby in Colombo on June 4, 2010 on the sidelines of the Indian International Film Academy (IIFA) awards weekend. Sri Lanka is hosting the glitzy Bollywood event. Hrithik last tweet on his way to Sri Lanka was, “Alright guys, need to take a bit of a break! Gonna be off twitter for a while! But will be back soon! Love u all!! Cheers!!

Star couple Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan entered holding each other’s arm in the hotel lobby to attend the IIFA weekend. Designer Manish Malhotra has made her outfit for the gala night.

Actor Anil Kapoor said the cricket match was one of the highlights of the IIFA weekend. “I am a good cricketer,” he said. Kapoor walked the green carpet, looking dapper in a black suit. He also met South African President Jacob Zuma before leaving for Colombo.

Salman Khan once again trampled on Vivek Oberoi’s efforts at making peace between them. Vivek was given the task of inviting Salman on the stage at a function and he prepared a note with words like “rockstar of Bollywood” and “man with a golden heart” to describe Sallu. Salman, however, got to know about this and asked Anil Kapoor to invite him on stage instead.

Actor Anupam Kher was honoured with the Presidential Award for his contribution to cinema. The award was given to him by Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapakseat. The award was given at the FICCI-IIFA Global Business Forum.

The fashion designers are having a ball, too. At the post event party, everyone chatted and danced till late. Actress Sophie Choudhry says, “It is super fun with Rocky S, Manav Gangwani, Hurman Baweja. I am performed with Sri Lanka’s number one pop group.”
