Hollywood veteran Harvey Keitel, recently finished a two-month shoot in Panchagani in India for his maiden Indian project Against Itself, and the actor, says he fell for Indian strawberries.

“It was great shooting in Panchgani. Strawberries are my favourite and I must say the strawberries there were magnificent. I took strolls in the market and sometimes by myself. People go on journeys to experience and I was amazed to see that the cultures are so different. The weather was splendid and beauty of nature was amazing,” said the actor, who is known for his roles in cult outings like

Reservoir Dogs

and

Pulp Fiction

.

Despite the tropical climate, the 71-year-old also had a great time shooting here. “I’ve shot in many places around the world, so the climate was not really a challenge,” said Keitel.

It was the movie’s theme on religious violence that drew him to the script.

"It is about dealing with rigidity of thought and cultivating open mindedness, which strikes universal chord," said the actor. Against Itself traces the relationship of a young boy and his American teacher in India, who struggles against anti-Christian sentiments that threaten his students, his school and his life.
