Aishwarya Rai Bachchan clasps both her hands together; Deepika Padukone crosses her legs and rests her arms on them; on the red carpet, Kangna Ranaut places her arm on her hip as she crosses her legs — every Bollywood diva has a signature pose for when shutterbugs are around. HT City asks a body language expert what the favourite pose of these actresses says about them.
A person who stands like this is clearly overconfident, doesn’t hesitate to flaunt and is hopeful. There is an indication of lack of empathy and a sense. Crossing the legs on spotting the camera also indicates the desire to bridge the gap between current self and the idolised self.
A person who sits this way is fatigued, pressured, worried, worn out, uncertain, gloomy and needs a break. Yet, she is confident, knows she has arrived, and is high on self esteem inspite of all the difficulties that she is going through. Crossing her arms over her knees would imply that she has a super ego, is not easy on indulgence and driven by moral high conduct.
She clasps her hands and that may indicate that she is worried, shaky, pressured, insecure, engrossed and yearning for support. A person who displays this body language is is sensitive at heart and idolises relationships. However, it also shows that the person is carrying lot of hurt inside, and wants to cling for support.
