Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has joined the league of people urging to grant actor Sanjay Dutt mercy.
The 53-year-old actor was sentenced to five years in jail by the Supreme Court last week in a case related to the 1993 Bombay blasts.
“Sanjay Dutt has appealed to the media as he doesn’t want to be an object of a tamasha. If we feel that he should be given pardon, then we all should appeal to the governor to express our concern. As per the law, anybody can appeal for pardon for him. Khali tamasha dekhne ka kya faida. He is in pain today and we all should wish and pray for him,” says the 68-year-old filmmaker.
