Susan Boyle may become a modern day Audrey Hepburn after recording a "breathtaking" version of the song Moon River from the hit film Breakfast At Tiffany's.
Mirror.co.uk reports that the Scottish singer, who became a household name after her stint on the reality show "Britain's Got Talent", is now halfway through her debut album. And amongst the pick of the tracks she has recorded so far is her version of the 1961 Academy Award winning song.
"Susan's version of this song is fantastic and her fans will love it. Older listeners will remember it from 'Breakfast At Tiffany's', but for younger fans of BGT ('Britain's Got Talent'), Susan will sound like a more modern Hepburn. It is a breathtaking version of the track and just shows what her voice is capable of," said a source close to Susan.
The 48-year-old Susan has been working at a secret London location in a bid to be on course to release an LP before the end of the year.
She sifted through 350-400 possible tunes and has vowed to make her album appeal to as wide an audience as possible.
"We're not going to throw out some souvenir album of show tunes. She's going to surprise a lot of people with this record," said her mentor Simon Cowell.
