Indian stars are used to being hounded by fans wherever they go in the world. Shah Rukh Khan has been mobbed by followers in Germany, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is very popular in Japan, while Amitabh Bachchan is regularly greeted by frenzied Egyptian fans at Cairo.

And now, Deepika Padukone seems to have joined that list as during her recent travels, she was approached by more foreigners than Indians for autographs.
In June this year, Deepika toured USA and Europe with her parents and sister. However, she continued preparing for her films — Imtiaz Ali’s next with Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next with Ranveer Singh and Shoojit Sircar’s next — even when she was on vacation.
“During this trip, she was approached by many foreigners who wanted to click photographs with her. People from Germany, Japan and other countries, in addition to several NRIs, wanted to pose with her,” says the source.
Apparently, Deepika was pleasantly surprised to see that international fans recognised her. She is currently shooting for Imtiaz’s film in France.
