Kajol, who was at her chirpiest best on Day 1 of the HT Leadership Summit -2013, wowed the audience by giving candid answers to every question posed at her. And just when you thought you’d catch her off guard by inquiring about her sister Tanishaa’s controversial stint on an ongoing reality TV show, she surprised everyone by openly supporting her little sister.
“Yes, I am watching Bigg Boss and I completely support her (Tanisha) in what she’s doing,” said the 39-year-old actor, known for her innumerable hit films, including Baazigar (1993), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and My Name Is Khan (2010). When asked if she has any advise to give Tanisha, Kajol says, “There’s no advice that anyone can give anybody in that house. It’s a very unnatural situation and people are pushed to the edge, so they end up reacting in the worst possible manner.”
The actor also rubbishes rumours about the family being upset about Tanisha’s participation and conduct on the show. “Not at all, woh doodh peeti bachhi nahin hai (she isn’t a baby). We stopped burping her long back,” she says in jest.
Finally, when asked her if she felt awkward during husband Ajay Devgn’s fight with Yash Raj Films over the clash of the releases of Son of Sardaar and Jab Tak Hai Jaan last year, and she says, “No, it wasn’t awkward because issue-wise I supported Ajay. I believed what he did was right.”
Bubbly and forthcoming as ever, actor Kajol spoke on a range of issues at the HT Leadership Summit. Along with actor husband Ajay Devgn, she held forth on what being an actor means, her favourite roles and more.
