Till a few years ago, there was a wide gap between the small screen and the silver screen. Then, a handful of actors helped bridge this gap. The interesting part is, all these actors started their journey in Delhi, started their careers with TV and have now landed meaty roles in Bollywood. While Sushant, Manish, Barun and Pulkit completed their education in Delhi, Ayushmann and Rajeev migrated to the Capital to pursue theatre, and to chase their dreams. After working for daily soaps, reality shows and as TV hosts, they dared to leave the small screen and ventured into Bollywood at the peak of their careers. These ‘Dilli ke chhorey’ who have now become household names, also have one more thing in common: none of them is single!

Barun Sobti
He shot to fame as Arnav Singh Raizada (ASR) — the male lead character in the TV series, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? After shifting base to Mumbai, Barun’s TV career kickstarted with Shraddha. He is also recognised for playing the lead role of Shravan Jaiswal, in the serial Baat Hamari Pakki Hai.
