Miley Cyrus has opened up about her recent "scary" hospital stay that forced her to put her ongoing Bangerz tour on hold and reschedule the cancelled concerts.
The Wrecking Ball singer confessed during a radio interview that she had suffered a severe allergic reaction to a medication she was taking for flu-like symptoms two weeks ago, People magazine reported.
The 21-year-old star, who was bed-ridden in a Kansas hospital, revealed that she had been poisoning herself with something that she didn't know she was allergic to.
She loves being on the road and since she didn't want to lie down to get perfectly better, it resulted in her getting sick every two or three hours, Cyrus said.
Cyrus added that she's feeling better and is preparing for the European leg of her tour.
She also said she didn't lose weight during her hospital stay. In fact, she put on a few pounds! "I was stuck in Kansas when I was in the hospital, so I wouldn't eat anything—because the medicine made me sick—except Cracker Barrel. So all I did for five days was be on steroids to get myself better and eat Cracker Barrel," she said, laughing. "The best part about being in the hospital or being sick is my mom turned into my everything and basically, I just made her do whatever I wanted for two weeks. It's like having an assistant. I had my mom doing everything for me and ordering any kind of food I wanted and bringing me ice cream."
"You know, most people when they're sick, they can't even eat. I'm not that person. I can always eat."
