Bollywood actor Tanuja has been admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata after she complained of breathing problem.
Belle Vue Clinic CEO P Tandon said the 70-year-old actor complained of breathing troubles after which she was administered oxygen. "Her condition is normal now," Tandon said.
Tanuja, mother of Bollywood actors Kajol and Tanisha, was attending the dinner party of Kolkata International Film Festival at a Kolkata hotel along with West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee when she felt uneasy. She was immediately taken to the private hospital.
Tanuja, who began her career with Nutan in Humari Beti (1950), has received Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award (2014) and Filmfare Best Supporting Actor (1969, Pyaar Ya Paisa) among several other awards. She was last seen in Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardar (2012). She has also worked in several Marathi films.
