One of the most anticipated sporting events in the country, the Madhavrao Scindia Golf Tournament, will be taking place on March 4th at the DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurgaon. The event, now in its seventh edition, takes place annually in remembrance of the iconic statesman and political leader — Madhavrao Scindia.

This one-day tournament, which is known for participation by eminent personalities from the field of sports, business and politics, will see 120 players playing on the fast-paced and exciting Skins Format. This format offers contestants a chance to win a match against the other players on each hole rather than wait for the 18 holes to be completed.

Some of the participants in this tournament include former cricketers Kapil Dev, Nikhil Chopra, Murali Kartik, cricket commentator Charu Sharma, industrialists Pankaj Munjal, Rohit Relan, entrepreneur Robert Vadra, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, among others.

The funds raised through this annual event goes towards supporting social development projects undertaken by the Madhavrao Scindia Foundation.

“My father was passionate about sports. He was extremely involved with cricket and golf was a passion for him. He made many friends on the golf course, so it is apt that we keep those relationships and memories strong through this annual gathering of his friends and well-wishers,” says Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Jyotiraditya Scindia. “I would like to thank DLF Golf & Country Club for hosting this event again this year and the sponsors who enable us to continue our social work in the Madhavrao Scindia Foundation. I look forward to welcoming our friends again to a day of competitive yet friendly golfing,” he adds.
