Sunday's episode of Koffee with Karan was a treat for Bollywood lovers when Emraan Hashmi and Mahesh Bhatt came together on the couch to face Karan.

The best part was that both the actor and the director were candid and voiced their opinions without mincing any words.

During the rapid fire round, Mahesh Bhatt and Emraan were vying for the reward, giving the most catty answers. When Karan said he would like to question Mahesh first as it should be 'age before beauty', Mahesh said, "Age before vulgarity"!

Mahesh Bhatt started the rapid fire round with a bang. He said he would like to change the "pathetic lust for Oscars" of the film industry.

While Emraan said Salman Khan is a better actor than Aamir Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is completely plastic, the director said Barfi is the most over-rated film!

Mahesh Bhatt also said that Kajol is an over-rated actress and Sanjay Leela Bhansali is an over-rated director.

When it was Emraan's turn to face the rapid fire, the answers were even more catty. Asked what would he find in Mallika Sherawat's bedroom, Emraan said, "An idiot's guide to Hollywood!"

Speaking on the show, Mahesh Bhatt said that Awaarapan (2008) flopped because Hashmi was playing a good hearted protagonist and the film, despite having fabulous music, didn't work because they didn't exploit Hashmi's sexy image enough.

Bhatt spoke about his liaison with Parveen Babi and the colourful life he'd led. When Karan asked what advice Bhatt would give to someone who wants to date his daughter Alia, the filmmaker said, "Don't". Elaborating on that, Bhatt said, "I would like to save my daughter so no one should think of dating my daughter".
