After keeping the viewers guessing for 105 days, model-actor Gauhar Khan won the reality show Bigg Boss 7 on Saturday, and straightaway got into press interviews.

Admitting that it was hard to acknowledge her relationship with co-inmate Kushal Tandon on national TV, she said, "My journey wouldn’t have been the same without Kushal. Without him, I wouldn’t have had the support I had in the house for weeks. It took a lot of courage to say I love you. I don’t think anyone makes a joke of their lives on national TV. That’s not me. People appreciate honesty and after they have seen chemistry, if you hide behind the ‘we are good friends’ stance, they won’t digest it. I accepted what I had to and respect it. I hope and pray that we prove everyone wrong."

Not being defensive about being 'opinionated' and even taking on the show’s host Salman Khan, the 29-year-old says, "I can’t be like someone else just because I am on a show. If I had to say something, I did that in the most respectful manner. I totally respect and adore Salman Khan. When he told me to ‘Shut up’, I felt bad initially but later realised it was for my betterment."

On getting along with all but runners-up Tanishaa, she says, "Tanishaa and I are strong personalities and we were strong competition for each other. We both never made the effort to get along."

Explaining the dazed look on her face when announced as the winner, she says, "When Tanisha and I were left, I didn’t expect to win. When I saw her mom Tanuja ji sitting in the audience, I felt the game is over for me."
