In less than four months, fans will be reunited with Jack Bauer, the counterterrorist agent whose numerous brushes with death kept viewers riveted.
A 12-episode miniseries, 24: Live Another Day can be considered as the original show's ninth season.
For the first time in its history, 24 is going abroad.
After fighting terrorists in Los Angeles, Washington and New York, Jack Bauer will head to London in the miniseries, which takes place four years after the events seen in the last episode of Season 8, aired in May 2010.
Bauer will meet up with his loyal colleague Chloe O'Brien (Mary Lynn Rajskub), and with his former love interest Audrey Raines (Kim Raver). Actor William Devane will also return in the role of Defense Secretary James Heller.
Yvonne Strahovski, seen in Chuck and Dexter, will join the cast for the first time.
Announcing the premiere date of the new miniseries, FOX also plugged two new shows coming this spring.
Premiering March 27, Surviving Jack is a family comedy on a father who is forced to become a more hands-on parent when his wife decides to go to law school. Starring Christopher Meloni (Law & Order, True Blood), the show was created by Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Cougar Town, Spin City).
On May 20, the network will air the premiere of Gang Related, the story of a gang member who infiltrates the San Francisco Police Department's anti-gang unit. The drama will feature Terry O'Quinn, who played John Locke on Lost, along with rapper RZA.
