Actor Aijaz Khan, whose stint on the reality show Bigg Boss has helped him garner some quick publicity, is on a roll these days. On a recent visit to HT City, the actor said that the love that he gets from his fans keeps him going, and that though his new film is based on the controversial subject of Jihaad, he isn’t scared.

“Mujhe kis cheez ka darr? Ho sakta hai logo ko mujhse darr lage ... aajkal main tweet kar raha hoon aur upload karta hoon toh Honey Singh (rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh) se zyada reply tweets aa jaate hain. Honey Singh bhi mujhse darr raha hai,” he says with his trademark casual confidence.
And though his newly released film has not done very well, Ajaz is confident of his acting skills and says that he’s sure he’ll make it big. “I want to fight Johnny Depp, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. Mujhe lagta hai India mein bhi aise actors hain jo amar ho sakte hai,” he says, and is quick to credit his fans for his rise. “I am no one. But awam (masses) ne mujhe banaya hai aur pyar karte hai. They connect with me.”
Ask him about his equation with actor Salman Khan, who hosted the show, and he says, “We have a connection of purity.” So will they work together? “Inshallah, people wish to see me and Salman together. I love Shah Rukh (Khan) too. I hope there is a film called ‘Karan Arjun aur Ajaz’.”
