Life seems to have come full circle for Rithvik Dhanjani.

After missing the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5’s (JDJ; 2012) trophy by a hair’s breadth, he’s now won Nach Baliye 6, beating Gurmeet Choudhary, who, ironically, had won JDJ 5.

Needless to say, the actor and his girlfriend and dance partner, Asha Negi, are on cloud nine.

Rithvik thanks Gurmeet for urging him to participate in the show. “Gurmeet was great competition, and you feel like giving your best only when there’s tough competition. If Gurmeet wasn’t in the show, I don’t think I’d have been this happy winning it,” says Rithvik, adding, “He was the one I called when I got the offer to be on NB. He had told me he had taken it up, and that I should too. He’s been a great friend."

Rithvik, who partied with the team post the telecast, adds, “I’m so thrilled to have won. I can’t express how great I am feeling. It’s an unbelievable situation for me.” Asha, too, is ecstatic.

Talking about Rithvik not winning JDJ, she says, “We won NB, so now he should admit that I am his lucky charm!” She adds, “It was tough for Rithvik as he’s a dancer while I am not. He had to work hard to manage me. I am glad that our hard work paid off. Gurmeet-Debina were tough competition. Had we not won, they surely would have.”

Asha has already made their holiday plans. “We decided to visit Golden Temple if we won, so we will go soon. Then we’ll go to Dubai. We won the holiday package so we will go to Australia too. Once the holidays are done we will think about work,” she says.
