Her unexpected win on the 2007 season of British reality show Big Brother brought her international fame. The show even gave a fresh lease of life to Shilpa Shetty's fading career back home.
Soon after her victory, Shilpa went on to judge a few reality shows in India. Life seems to be coming full circle for Shilpa now, as she has been approached to judge a UK-based dance reality show, Got To Dance (GTD).
Shilpa Shetty tweeted her selfie saying - Hey Tweeto's Every vote counts. Make yours count too be a responsible Indian.
A source reveals, "In February, she had gone to London for a holiday, and that's when the representatives of the show met her manager. They had a chat about the show and its concept. The team was keen to get her on board as one of the judges."
The previous seasons of the show have had prominent international dancers like Ashley Banjo, Adam Garcia, Kimberly Wyatt and Aston Iain Merrygold as judges.
Although Shilpa has shown interest in the show, she is yet to give a final nod. "Since she is also part of another dance reality show, Nach Baliye, here, in India, she doesn't want the two series to clash," says the source, adding, "The next season of GTD kicks off in August end, so Shilpa is planning to go to London in June to meet the team."
