Director Indra Kumar’s plans of making a sequel to his hit,

Dhamaal

, didn’t materialise in 2009. But this summer, he will not only start

Double Dhamaal

with Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffery and Aashish Chowdhry, but also another film for Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision. And apart from Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Govinda and Akshaye Khanna have been confirmed for it.

He attributes the delay in starting Double Dhamaal to waiting for the right script. “After a hit, the audience’s expectations for the sequel are naturally higher and it’s important to live up to them,” he says.

Kumar is unperturbed about juggling two films at the same time. “Both the scripts happened to be ready simultaneously. The cast is now finalised and so are the dates of the principal actors. So if everything is organised at the onset, there shouldn’t be any probem,” he asserts.

Besides these two films, Kumar is also working on the script for the relaunch of his daughter Shweta. Her debut, Karzzzz opposite Himesh Reshammiya, failed at the box-office. “Shweta’s next will be a home production. I’m okay with her working for a sound banner with a good established director,” he concludes.
