The IPL fever is back. Today, the sixth edition of the series will see Kolkata Knight Riders taking on Delhi Daredevils at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Besides these super exciting matches, there are various events that happen around the matches. In one such event, we sawDelhi Daredevils coming together with A4A (Arts for All) for the unveiling of 15 cricket bats, which are converted into limited edition artworks by some of the top artists in the country.

We met former South African cricketer and head coach of Delhi Daredevils, Eric Simons, at the event. We asked him about the team’s preparation for the upcoming season. “So far so good. Some of the boys are not available as they are pre-occupied with their international commitments, but it gives us time to focus on particular individuals and start thinking about our combination,” he said. So who are the pranksters in the team? “We got a few, Andre Russell often raises a laugh. KP is one and now, even Nehra is back. (Nehra was playing for Pune Warriors last season).

On Bollywood flicks, he shared, “I haven’t seen movies this time around. But of the ones I saw, I liked 3 Idiots.”
