The unprecedented popularity of the Fake IPL Player (FIP) seems to have forced Shah Rukh Khan into blogging about his dreams and disappointments vis-a-vis the Kolkata IPL team. Fans and critics feel that SRK’s move is in response to FIP’s criticism and gossip against KKR.

SRK’s last entry, Keep The Faith made on Saturday, reassures the team and fans that all is well with the team. SRK wrote: “Lots of people are saying lots of things about us, but none of them are right... So there is no problem here at all... There is no need to prove anything amongst us.”

His comments came after FIP spoke about friction amongst certain members of the team. A pet topic on FIP’s blog is the multi-captaincy issue and the decision to oust Ganguly. Though SRK doesn’t overtly respond to the fake IPL blogger, he says, “Starting with the multiple captains to choices of whom we play in which match. A truckload of criticism from all quarters has been dumped at our doorsteps.”

Interestingly, SRK’s first entry received 336 responses and the second one 263 responses, whereas FIP’s blog post on the same day saw 1171 responses. The gossiper’s latest entry, Hats off to Bhooka Naan, posted on Monday, received 117 comments within an hour.

Comments left on SRK’s blog also refer to the fake IPL blog. SrkKkrWldct says “Please tell me... are you writing this to counter the fake IPL player because... you and your management do not know how to handle it.” Pranav29 says “I don’t believe Fake IPL Player, I know you are torn between Sourav and Buchanan and you went with the coach”
