Television actor Aashka Goradia, who was last seen in the show Laagi Tujhse Lagan, has launched a business venture with her boyfriend of three years Rohit Bakshi.

The couple recently made news when they decided to part ways after a two-year long relationship as Aashka wanted to get married and Rohit was not prepared. However, now the two are back together and have turned business partners in a deal which says a lot about their personal equation. The duo has opened a gola (ice candy) store called I Say Ice in Andheri. Ask Aashka about her relationship, and she says, “I wouldn’t call him my boyfriend. I don’t want to get into giving any such tags. I’d rather address him as my business partner. But I wouldn’t have tied up with any one else for this business. I trust him completely.”

Ask her how she is going to manage keeping her personal and professional lives separate, and she says, “If you are emotionally attached to somebody then that isn’t a problem. When I trust someone, I do so completely. We have a lot of mutual respect for each other.”

According to Aashka, she has opened the store for people like herself. The actor explains, “I didn’t know where to go if I wanted to treat myself to ice candy. None of the city’s street vendors can guarantee the highest level of hygiene, which I would want. Since I am from Gujarat, and ice candy shops are part of the culture there, I wanted to bring it to Mumbai too.”

The actor’s cousin, Janki Ravatia, has designed 50 flavours for the new store. Aashka reveals that she will open new outlets across the city by December.
