For as long as we remember, stars always competed for the top slot in their fields, be it films, music, or even the corporate world. The so-called rivalries used to be based on who earned the most, how many awards a star won, how many times he/she appeared in public and so on. But in this techno-savvy age, the starry battles have shifted to the Internet — Most hits on Youtube videos, most likes on a Facebook page and now, most followers on Twitter. On last count (July 12, 2011), the most followed female star in the world was Lady Gaga, while in India, the most followed male star was Shah Rukh Khan.
In the following Twitter chart, find the most followed celebrity
figures, Indian and global, in their respective fields and get to know their tweeting styles.
