Holi was celebrated with much fervour in both Delhi and Mumbai. Pakistani actor Veena Malik, who celebrated her first Holi in Delhi last year, had a blast this time in Mumbai.
“Holi in both the cities is equally fun and full of masti. Last year was my first Holi in India, so it wasn’t as crazy as this year,” says Veena, who played Holi with the team of her upcoming film Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai.
“I think it is a beautiful festival and we should retain its beauty by using natural and eco-friendly colours to protect our planet. I could not recognise myself after playing Holi for two hours… I smeared colours on others and danced. I thoroughly enjoyed it,” she says.
The actor also doesn’t mind flaunting the traces of colour that have stubbornly stayed behind. “After taking a shower couple of times and getting a thorough cleansing done, the colour is still all over me. I believe the red colour is in love with my back as it refuses to go. But there is nothing to crib, as I feel ye rang khushnuma yaadon (happy memories) ki tarah hai jo Holi ke baad aapke saath reh jaati hain,” says Veena.
