Many popular TV stars, from Hiten Tejwani to Ronit Roy and Iqbal Khan have had trouble with obsessive fans in the past. The latest victim is VJ Andy, who had a bizarre experience with a desperate female admirer.
Recently, Andy was alone at home since he had given his domestic staff the day off. The doorbell rang and when he answered it, he found a woman at the entrance. “She introduced herself as Mala and had a crazy gaze in her eyes. I figured something was wrong with her. She said that we have been talking regularly on the phone,” recollects Andy. When he tried to politely turn her away, saying that he doesn’t know her, she became frenetic. “She got hysterical and insisted that we used to talk daily on the phone when I was on Bigg Boss. She tried to touch me too. After that, she sat outside my house for over an hour. It was really scary,” he says.”
Later, he heard from his gym staff that a woman had been visiting the place daily and waiting for him outside. “I told them (the gym staff) that she’s a stalker. Since then, I have spotted her in public a few times. I am worried she might do something crazy.” Though the situation is difficult, Andy hopes it gets better soon. “I don’t want to file any police complaint right now. Let’s see.”
