In her statement to the police, actor Preity Zinta said that she was shivering after being abused and threatened by industrialist Ness Wadia at Wankhede stadium on May 30. HT has accessed her supplementary statement.

The actor said that during the match, she had seen Wadia shouting at the Kings XI Punjab’s chief operating officer Frazer Castelino and (management staff) Tara. “I asked him to calm down, but he ignored me and in anger shouted on me and said, come here, come here. I went near him but he started shouting on me and abusing me,” the actor said in the statement.

“When next inning of the match started, Wadia came to my seat and started abusing me using vulgar words and pulled my hand tightly,” the actor has stated.

Wadia and Zinta came face to face again when they were congratulating the players after the match. Here Wadia again allegedly started abusing the actor. “I went ahead and complained to BCCI officials Ranjib Biswal and Sanjay Patel. I was shivering at that time,” Zinta said in her statement.

The actor has also spoke about the spat during the IPL auction in Bangalore on February 12, 2014. “At the auction Wadia was shouting at me, as I was not sitting beside him. Sundar Raman signaled us to keep quiet,” Zinta said. Following Zinta’s complaint, police registered a case and have so far taken statements of nine people.
