On October 10, actor Shruti Seth married film-maker Danish Aslam, in a quite ceremony in Goa. The celebrations, which spanned over three days, included family and close friends.
“Both Danish and I had a registered marriage in Mumbai, before heading to Goa. We both love Goa and always wanted to exchange our vows right next to the sea, with the sun setting behind us,” she gushes. “The Goa wedding was supposed to be a quiet getaway ceremony. But, when our friends got to know about it, they, too, wanted to witness it. So, they came along and made it all the more special.”Kunal Kapoor, who is producing Aslam’s film, Break Ke Baad, played the priest at the wedding. "Danish and I first met on the set on Kunal’s Fanaa. Danish was assisting him on the film. So, we requested him to solemnise our wedding."
Talking about her wedding vows, Shruti reveals, “I started writing my vows around three months back, while Danish jotted it down on the morning of our wedding.”
Where is the honeymoon? “We both are very busy at the moment. But Kunal has surprised us with a trip to Phuket that we will be going for in January. Then, in July next year, we will head to North America to catch the U2 performance there.”
The film, Break Ke Baad, also stars Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone, both of whom were also present for the wedding celebrations. Siddharth Mallya, Maria Goretti and Gul Panag were also spotted at the do.
