It’s fest time in Delhi University (DU) and colleges are prepared to host rock shows, fashion shows, society competitions and many more. While Crossroads of Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) is perhaps the most popular fest in DU, there are others such as Sri Venkateswara College’s Nexus, Hindu College’s Mecca and Miranda House’s Tempest that are much in demand. HT City asks students of the campus to name the most happening and coolest fest in DU according to them.
It has to be Mecca of Hindu College. It maintains a high quality of events which are fun and masti, but not at the cost of security. The entry to the fest is strictly by students’ ID cards and this avoids the unnecessary crowd. Even their society competitions are well managed and most talked about all through the year.
College of Business Studies
SRCC’s Crossroads is the coolest fest on campus. Everybody wants to be a part of this fest. They have the best concerts. I remember last time they invited Kailash Kher and the crowd went mad. They even have a live RJ throughout the fest, which is again very cool. And ofcourse, the rock shows are the kinds you’ll not see anywhere.
Motilal Nehru College
Out of all the fests that I have been to during my first year, I enjoyed Jesus and Mary’s annual fest — Montage the most. It was very well organised and there was no confusion about any of the events. Also, it was the best place to check out the latest fashion trends as every girl attending the fest were so fashionably dressed.
Sri Venkateswara College’s annual fest, Nexus, is the king of all fests. Besides the society competitions, they had lots of interesting activities such as hair beading, tattoo making and portrait making. They have bands such as Euphoria and Parikrama performing every year. The ‘south Delhi’s happening crowd’ gives it another high.
SGTBT Khalsa College
I think Crossroads at SRCC is the most happening fest in DU. After Rendezvous (IIT) this is the best fest in Delhi. They get the best of bands and musicians from Bollywood every year. That is their USP. Students look forward to Crossroads every year and this is one of the reasons why they have the most happening crowd too.
