Why Aaamir Khan was ready to pay Rs 8 crore to stop Akshay's OMG

Actor Aamir Khan’s film, PK, is being compared to the 2012 Akshay Kumar-starrer, Oh My God, for having a similar script. And, reports suggest that Aamir had offered OMG director, Umesh Shukla, Rs 8 crore to stop the film.

Actor Aamir Khan’s film, PK, is being compared to the 2012 Akshay Kumar-starrer, Oh My God, for having a similar script. And, reports suggest that Aamir had offered OMG director, Umesh Shukla, Rs 8 crore to stop the film.

“While OMG was being shot, Aamir and (filmmakers) Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra offered Rs 8 crore to Umesh to stop shooting the film!” a source told a Mumbai tabloid. Meanwhile, PK has made over Rs 50 crore in the first two days.

Aamir Khan-starrer PK has minted over Rs 50 crore in two days in the domestic market, and trade experts expect it do 'steady' business in coming days. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film released on Friday, December 19. The film also stars Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt and Sushant Singh Rajput.
