I’m six feet tall, and my weight is 65 kg. I go to the gym six days a week. I want to take whey protein supplements. Please tell me when and how much I need to take. What should I eat it with? Can you recommend a diet?
According to your height, your weight should be 78-80 kg, so you have to increase your weight by at least 12-15 kg. Whey protein is a high quality protein powder naturally found in cow’s milk. Milk has two proteins — casein (approximately 80 per cent) and whey protein (approximately 20 per cent).
You can take whey protein supplements on your days of weight training within 45 minutes of your workout. Initially, take one scoop with complex carbohydrates such as a whole wheat sandwich or fruits.
Your total protein intake should be approximately 80 gm a day. One scoop of whey protein supplement will provide you with approximately 24 gm of proteins. You should be able to get the remaining proteins from your diet.
