Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am has donated 500,000 pounds to the Prince's Trust charity.
The 37-year-old rapper announced that the large amount is almost all of his wages for taking part in The Voice UK's first season, reported Daily Star online.
"I gave the majority of the money I made on the voice to the Prince's Trust to build a tech program to get the kids from east LDN up to speed (sic)," he posted on Twitter.
The donation will help deprived children get training and start up businesses.
The singer, whose real name is William James Adams Jr said that he gave the funds away to the British people because he felt well-received in the country.
"The people of the UK welcomed me into their homes every week and I wanted to give something back. I called my manager and said, 'What can I do with the money that I'm getting for The Voice? I don't need it. It's the least I could do -- the show changed my life," he added.
