British royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton have helped to raise £625,000 for a charity, after hosting a special dinner here.
Dailystar.co.uk reports that they welcomed guests to the 100 Women in Hedge Funds gala at St. James' Palace Thursday to benefit the Child Bereavement Charity, of which the prince is a patron.
The royal couple has also been making unnannounced trips to various UK charities, following a family tradition championed by the late Princess Diana.
Running or founding charities has long been a favored pastime for Britain's royals. Prince Charles, Kate's father-in-law, is the patron or president of no fewer than 20 charities.
