Amy Winehouse is planning to move to the Caribbean, as the troubled British singer has submitted an application to become a permanent resident of St. Lucia.
The British singer escaped to the island in 2008 in a bid to tackle her drink and drug problems and escape the constant paparazzi presence trailing her in London and now she hopes to swap England for the Caribbean for good, reports thehollywoodgossip.com.
Winehouse is now waiting to hear if her residency is accepted by the island nation's authorities.
"We are aware of Amy wanting to live here on a permanent basis. We have received an application and are looking into it," said an official on condition of anonymity.
