Priyanka Chopra is high on life... and she won’t let any rumour change that... Minakshi Saini talks to the Bollywood starlet...
Why do you think you were chosen for the Nielsen Box Office Award?
This was my first question to them [the organisers]… so even I don’t know. But according to them my immense achievement in a short career span of five years is responsible for this award.
Your views on the competition among B-town divas...
It’s true that I’m competing with all my co-stars. Competition helps me work better and doesn’t let me get complacent and laidback.
Your first reaction on seeing yourself without make-up in Kaminey?
It was very scary. In Kaminey,my character is a 19-20-year-old college girl who really doesn’t care about wearing make-up.
But you looked beautiful…
Make up is not the only thing that can make a person look good. Natural beauty is more important.
How do reports of link-ups between you and celebrities like Shahid, Hurman and Gerard Butler affect you?
I am somebody’s daughter, somebody’s sister... so of course such reports affect me. But as long as my family knows what the reality is, I really don’t care.
Does it affect your friendship with the people in question?
I don’t think so. People in my life don’t pay a heed to such sensationalism.
How do you react to reports of you taking digs at Katrina?
Katrina is someone who, in spite of not even being well-versed with our language, is now doing incredibly well. I have always appreciated self-made people and she is definitely one of them.
