Women like to lose weight at their own pace: Karisma on Aishwarya
Actor Karisma Kapoor, who lost 23 kgs after her second pregnancy, says it’s okay that ex-lover Abhishek Bachchan’s wife Aishwarya Rai is taking her own time to lose weight.
Actor Karisma Kapoor, who lost 23 kgs after her second pregnancy, says it’s okay that ex-lover Abhishek Bachchan’s wife Aishwarya Rai is taking her own time to lose weight. “To each his own. Some women like to lose weight at their own pace, so it’s okay,” says the actor, who was in Delhi on Monday.
Kapoor, who is back in Bollywood with Vikram Bhatt’s Dangerous Ishhq, says that she is not perturbed by news reports suggesting that her marriage to industrialist Sunjay Kapur is on the rocks. “I think being a celebrity, you have to take everything written about you, with a pinch of salt.”
Kapoor, 37, who was on “maternity leave” for six years, says that she “did not miss films”. “Even now, I will continue to work at my own pace. My kids (Samaira, 7 and Kiaan, 2) and family are my priority, and will always be. I have no qualms accepting that I have a life beyond films. I wanted to be a hands-on mom to my kids and that’s why I took the break,” says the actor, who was last seen in the 2006 film Zamaanat.
