She plays a femme fatale in Abbas-Mustan’s Players, but in real life, a candid Bipasha Basu confesses she’s far from mysterious. For some time now, the actor has been in the news for her proximity to actor Shahid Kapoor and Dum Maaro Dum co-star Rana Daggubati.

However, Bips is completely unfazed. "You will continue to see me with Shahid and Rana. If people want to continue discussing us, they are free to do so. It’s not going to stop me from having a good equation with them or put an end to what I do in my personal space," says Bipasha, adding that such stories amaze her.

Bipasha, who was in a relationship with ex-boyfriend John Abraham for nine years, insists she has always been "very responsible in relationships" besides being a great partner and girlfriend. She adds, "I know I have been a fabulous partner. I don’t need to prove it. So, if I am in a relationship, I am going to give it the respect it is due. But till I don’t speak about it, there’s nothing going on."

Recently, Bipasha was also linked to her Singularity co-star Josh Hartnett. But the actor says it hasn’t bothered her since she has "very thick skin, like a rhino." She adds: "As long as it isn’t under the belt and doesn’t harm anyone, such stories don’t bother me. If people are going to spot me with other known people and read too much into it, I really can’t help it."

But what makes Bipasha happy is her upcoming action-packed film, Players. "You know, the kind of action I would like to do in a film is yet to come. I want to try hand-to-hand combat kind of stunts, only then would I consider it a real action film. Players is more larger-than-life stunts, blow-ups and train sequences. It’s a large-scale film, which is exciting to see on the big screen," she says.

I would have loved to but the music festival ends on December 29 and I am promoting Players till December 30. I will only get a day off on December 31. From January 1, the promotions start again."

Bips down due to allergy attack

A couple of days ago, Bipasha Basu’s air tickets to Chandigarh were booked. The actor, along with Bobby Deol and Sonam Kapoor, was supposed to visit the place to promote Abbas-Mustan’s Players. But at the last minute, Bips had an allergy attack. So she had to give the tour a miss. The actor confirms, "I would have loved to visit Chandigarh and meet my fans, but I couldn’t go because of a sudden allergy attack. It’s a sad development."
