Actor Saira Banu, 68, remembered her Shagird co-star, Joy Mukherji, as a friendly and a wonderful human being, while inaugurating a lane named after the late actor on his 74th birth anniversary. She was accompanied by husband, veteran actor Dilip Kumar.
“I never thought Yusuf saab
(as she calls Dilip) and I’d ever come for such an occasion. It feels like Joy is still between us... I wish he was here today. He was very friendly and a wonderful human being,” she said.
Joy passed away March 9 last year at the age of 73. Apart from Shagird, Saira also did the films, Saaz Aur Awaaz, Aao Pyar Karen and Door Ki Awaz, with Joy.
