If you love to flaunt a casual style, then ditch those boring khakis and tees. Designer Anupama Dayal says, “Go for an edgy, spunky look. If you are a jeans T-shirt sort of a babe then go for technicolour jeans. Jeans in cobalt blue, red or phirozi blue are a rage this season.” If you have long legs flaunt them in minis in colours like red, sandstone and green. Add an extra zing by completing your look with some interesting accessory. Go for thong style chappals. or a grafitti belt.
For a practical summer friendly formal look, go for clean lines and a semi-structured fit. Stylist Rajni Behl says, "The trousers to survive this hot weather should be light chonis in semi-skinny fit. Go for easy fit linen shirts and just a hint of makeup." Make up artist Vidya Tikari says, "Keep your look clean and freshly scrubbed. A dash of summer pink gloss will give the powerful corporate look." Accessorise with classic buys like a round dial watch.
If summer dressing spells, frilly frocks, floral prints, confectionery colours and easy drapes to you, then go for a cute chic look this season. Stylist Rajat Tangri says, “Fill up your wardrobe with candy colours and dresses that have a feminine silhouette. For a cute look, let go of high heels. Instead, slip into comfy flat pumps.” Keep the accessories minimal and avoid any jarring elements. The makeup too should reflect the mood of the season, so think of ocean blues and corals.
