It’s a folk-inspired collection called Reflections. At the show, two models will walk together in garments that have similar colour schemes. It’s the first time I’m seeking inspiration from Rajasthan and Kutch. I’m also using mirrors for the first time.
There will be lots of mint green, burgundy, saturated corals as well as greys with mirror work.
I’m introducing sharara pants, which are a modern substitute for the ghaghra this festive season. They will be paired with fitted tops. There are also some tops with interesting backs and chiffon palazzos.
There’s a lot of textured raw silk and of course, net and georgette, which are my favourites. We’ve used zari in the sharara pants as well as some pieces with Kashmiri embroidery and mirrors. The styling is very contemporary.
It’s the first time I’m seeking inspiration from folk traditions. Some of the silhouettes are new for me, including the cuts and even the collars.
