A. Aviators

Trend:

Whoever said you don’t need a pair of glares for winter needs a class in style 101. Invest in a pair of metallic rim. You can go for classy aviators or glasses in shades of brown or a dull gold.

B. Bangles

Trend:

Winter colours generally revolve around the earthy tones, like olive green, browns, camel, etc. But the sure way to add that much-needed dash of colour to your wardrobe is with multi-coloured glass or lacquer bangles.

Availability and price:

Janpath, Dilli Haat, Lajpat Nagar Central Market. R25-R50 for pair of lacquer bangles, R100 onwards for a box of dozen, depending on detailing like crystals, colours etc.



BootsC. Capes

Trend:

Get stylish with capes this season. Pair them with leather tights or denims for an evening party. Finish the look with ankle-high boots.

D. Denim

Trend:

The classic blue denims of the 80s and the 90s is in vogue again. Also, cropped denims jackets (which end right below the navel) is the ideal length to sport.

Besides big brands like Levi’s, Lee, Pepe or Zara, you can also have it custom-made at Mohan Singh Place in Connaught Place at a reasonable price.

E. Earmuffs
Trend:

Earmuffs are a must for winter, especially if you travel by public transport. Earmuffs are woollen covering meant for the ear, which come attached to a headband.

F. Faux fur
Trend:
To avoid PETA’s ire and still stay warm this winter, go for faux fur. Faux fur is generally made from a mix of materials like acrylic and modacrylic polymers, and costs a lot less as well. They come as lining on jackets or hoodies and sweaters.

G. Gloves
Trend:
Leather gloves, woollen gloves and even mittens serve the purpose. Another popular trend, started by Chanel, is gloves with the fingers cut off.

Gloves are easily available at most local markets and high street labels. Price will vary, from shop to shop.

H. Hats
Trend:

Again, a comprehensive list which includes beanies, hoodies, fedoras, berets, baseball caps, golf caps, bucket hats and so on.

I. Innerwear

Thermals are an integral tool to survive the Delhi winter. Invest in good pair of uppers and lowers to beat the winter chill.

J. Jackets
Trend:

Bomber or quilted, jackets are the winter staple. To make the most of your investment, buy a pair that comes with a warm lining.

K. Knits
Trend:
A winter essential, it undergoes a reinterpretation every year. But to be on the safe side, always go for one in solid colour.
