The last day of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week ended on a high note, on Sunday. The grand finale designer JJ Valaya not only got Bollywood stylista Kangna Ranaut as his showstopper, but also got his celebrity friends, including Rohit Bal, Suneet Varma, Sumant Jaikishan and Navin Ansal to walk the ramp for him. Ranaut wore a full length white draped dress under a rich velvet red overcoat with gold detailing.

Earlier in the evening, actor Govinda and his daughter Narmada walked the ramp for designer Reynu Taandon. Govinda looked every inch a supportive dad as Narmada made her ramp debut wearing a short black dress with gold detailing. “I decided to be myself on the ramp. Since I am an actor, there was no point posing as a supermodel, so I smiled and even giggled as I walked and enjoyed the experience,” said Narmada. Asked about reports of her dad, Govinda, being upset with actor Salman Khan for launching Sonakshi Sinha instead of her, Narmada quickly retorted, “They are great friends but my dad hardly discusses my career with Salman. Why would he expect him to launch me?”

About her much delayed movie debut with boxer Vijender Singh, she said, “Vijender had some issues with the film’s producers and the project got stalled. I can’t be waiting endlessly for that film to begin, so I’m starting work on a new film in three weeks from now.”

Glamour Goddess
Actor Kangna Ranaut was quite a pro on the ramp as she walked in a rich velvet red overcoat worn over a white drape dress. Her stance and attitude on the ramp got a loud cheer.

My Natural Style
Narmada, who made her runway debut in Reynu Taandon’s show, said, “I decided to be myself on the ramp. I’m not a model, so there was no point trying to catwalk like one.”
